The four universities that make up the NCTSPM offer courses and experiential learning activities aimed at providing students with the best in transportation education. Offerings are not limited to just engineering, but also include city planning, industrial and systems engineering (freight and logistics), sciences (e.g., psychology and ecology), medicine and public health, economics and public policy.

In order to foster educational growth and instruction in the transportation field, NCTSPM provides scholarships and awards to students, sponsors student internships, and conducts educational programs for K-12 students.
